Veterinary Physiotherapy

Before our veterinary physiotherapists assess your animal for the first time we will need to obtain your personal details and vet details.  We will then request consent from your vet for your animal to receive treatment and obtain any necessary information on their past medical history.

Once we have obtained the vet's consent you can book an initial assessment physiotherapy session.  This initial assessment will usually include the following:

  • A detailed subjective assessment (This will include details of your animal, i.e name, age, breed, temperament, diet, exercise etc, information on their current condition and any relevant past medical history).
  • A detailed objective assessment  (This will include observation, analysis of strength, range of movement and gait, and palpation of the relevant bones and musculature).
  • Devising a problem list and goals for treatment.
  • Devising treatment and a rehabilitation plan to meet the goals.
  • A home exercise programme (if applicable).
  • Liaison with the vet if appropriate.
  • Referral to other specialists if it is deemed necessary.

If you have any questions about our Veterinary service please do not hestitate to contact us on 01634 671651.
