Veterinary Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are highly trained in the assessment and analysis of posture, movement and function.  This expertise is informed by having an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and pathology.  This enables physiotherapists to assess and treat many musculoskeletal problems.  Treatment is tailored to the appropriate stage of inflammation and tissue repair.  As treatment enhances the body's ability to heal itself, early referral gives more optimal outcomes.  Liaison between physiotherapist, veterinarian, nutritionist and owner/trainer is essential to provide holistic care for the animal patient.
